Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 27, 2026
TwoDid is a small, pair-shared to-do app made by Jeffrey Yang (the “Application Provider,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you use TwoDid, how we use it, and the choices you have. We have intentionally kept TwoDid’s data footprint as small as possible.
Information We Collect
We collect only the information needed to operate TwoDid and deliver its core features:
- Account information. Your email address and chosen display name, used to identify your account and show your name to your partner.
- Pair information. The identifier of the one other account you are paired with, and any pair-level preferences (such as how you refer to one another).
- Tasks and nudges. The titles of tasks you create, their due dates, completion state, and any custom nudge or reminder messages you write for your partner.
- Push notification token. A Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) token for your device, used to deliver partner-initiated reminders. The token is bound to your account and refreshed when needed; we do not use it for anything other than push delivery.
- Subscription state. Whether your pair has an active TwoDid Pro subscription, and the purchase identifier associated with it. We receive this from RevenueCat based on Apple’s App Store records.
- Basic diagnostics. Crash reports and minimal usage signals (e.g., when a task is created or completed) used to fix bugs and improve TwoDid. These are not used for advertising and are not sold.
We do not collect your contacts, photos, location, health data, or browsing history. TwoDid is not used for behavioral advertising.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information above solely to deliver TwoDid’s features:
- To sign you in, sync your tasks across your devices, and share them with your one paired partner.
- To deliver partner-initiated push notifications — the reminders and nudges your partner sends you.
- To enable and verify TwoDid Pro entitlements for both members of your pair.
- To diagnose crashes and fix bugs so the app keeps working.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for advertising purposes.
Third-Party Processors
We use a small number of well-known service providers to run TwoDid. These providers process information on our behalf, under their own privacy policies:
- Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Messaging, Cloud Functions) — account sign-in, task storage, and push notification delivery.
- RevenueCat — manages subscription state and entitlement checks for TwoDid Pro.
- Superwall — renders the paywall and tracks paywall events (e.g., whether the paywall was viewed or dismissed).
- Apple Inc. — processes all App Store purchases and subscription billing.
Data Retention
We retain your account information and content for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account from within the app, we delete your profile, your tasks, your pair connection, and your push notification token from our active systems. Backups containing this data are rotated out within a reasonable period thereafter. Limited records may be retained where required by law or to resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.
Your Rights and Choices
- Delete your account. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from within TwoDid using the in-app Delete Account button.
- Access and export. Self-serve data export is on our roadmap. In the meantime, you can request a copy of the data associated with your account by emailing support@twodid.app.
- Push notifications. You can disable push notifications for TwoDid at any time from your device’s Settings.
- Subscription management. You can manage or cancel your TwoDid Pro subscription through your Apple Account’s Subscriptions settings.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law (such as the GDPR or CCPA), including rights to access, correct, or restrict processing of your personal information. You can exercise these rights by contacting us at the email below.
Children
TwoDid is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
